Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme for organisations to ensure that modern cyber security standards are met. The scheme has two certificates, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. Cyber Essentials starts at £300 + VAT and is self-assessed and marked by an assessor who highlights areas where Cyber Security can be improved. Cyber Essentials Plus typically costs £1400 + VAT and is verified by a third party to ensure that the requirements are met.

Cyber Essentials allows you to know exactly how your organisation is protected against cyber threats, in addition, the certificate requires annual renewal ensuring that you stay protected against novel threats.
